Reconnecting with Our Inner Values
VIHASA Values Workshop | Johannesburg | 5 October 2025
On 5 October 2025, VIHASA hosted a meaningful workshop in Johannesburg, bringing participants together for the first module of a journey exploring Inner Values.
The session focused on an essential yet often overlooked question:
What are the values that guide the way we live, work and relate to others?
Reflecting on What Matters
Our values shape the choices we make, the relationships we build and the way we respond to the world around us. Yet, amidst the demands of everyday life, we do not always have the opportunity to pause and consciously reflect on them.
The workshop created a welcoming space for participants to step away from their usual routines and reconnect with what matters most to them.
Through reflection, discussion and shared experiences, participants were encouraged to explore their own values and consider how these values influence their personal and professional lives.
A Rich and Rejuvenating Experience
The session offered more than an opportunity for learning. It became a space for renewal, introspection and connection.
As one participant reflected:
“It was a rich and rejuvenating refresher and a great opportunity reflecting on one's own values.”
The experience highlighted the importance of taking time to look inward. By becoming more aware of our values, we can develop greater clarity about our choices, our relationships and the way we contribute to the communities around us.
Beginning the Journey Together
As the first module in the programme, the workshop marked the beginning of a deeper journey of self-reflection and values-based living.
Participants left with renewed awareness and enthusiasm for what lies ahead, expressing their anticipation for the next module.
We extend our gratitude to the VIHASA facilitators, guests and participants for creating such a warm and meaningful space for reflection.
A journey of values begins by taking a moment to look within.
